How we make our slotted spatulas
Made by Amish craftsmen and artisans in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Our wooden kitchen spatulas are made from local American Black Cherry, Maple, and Black Walnut. Native to the Eastern United States, these hardwoods are an ideal choice for wooden cooking utensils. We sand each wooden spatula to give it a smooth surface, making it ready for immediate use in your kitchen.
Using your wooden egg turner
Our slotted turner is an excellent tool for almost any task in your favorite
cast iron skillet. It is both sturdy in hand yet able to handle delicate foods such as fish or omelets. Your wooden fish spatula can be used on any cookware including cast iron, non-stick, and stainless steel. If you’re looking for other slotted kitchen utensils, check out our
slotted spurtle and
slotted spoon.
How to care for your wooden fish spatula
Lancaster wooden utensils should be regularly maintained with food-grade mineral oil. By periodically applying
wood butter and keeping the wood moisturized, they will last a lifetime in your kitchen. After each use, wash with warm soapy water and towel dry.
