Ingredients

    • 1 stick melted butter

    • 1/2 C white sugar

    • 1/2 cup brown sugar

    • 1 tsp vanilla

    • 1 egg

    • 1 1/2 C flour

    • 1/2 tsp baking soda

    • 1/2 tsp salt

    • 1/2 C semi sweet chocolate chips

    • 1/4 C chopped walnuts (optional)

    Directions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

    2. In a bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg. In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir dry ingredients into the batter, mixing thoroughly. Add chocolate chips and walnuts, stirring to evenly distribute.

    3. Spread the cookie dough into the bottom of your Lancaster cast iron skillet, keeping an even distribution across the pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.  Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving with ice cream and toppings of your choice.
