How we make our wooden spatulas

Lancaster wood turners are made from sustainably harvested American hardwoods including Eastern Black Cherry, Maple, and American Black Walnut. Handmade by local Amish craftsmen with careful attention to detail and a love of creating beautiful cookware. All three hardwoods are native to the Eastern United States and are ideal hardwoods for kitchen utensils due to their hardness and durability. Each saute spatula is individually cut and sanded smooth. Our wooden turners are ready for immediate use in your kitchen.

Using your new pancake turner/ omelet spatula

Our wooden spatula is one of a few must-have tools in your kitchen. It will become your go tool utensil for making your favorite stir fry, flipping pancakes, and turning eggs in your favorite cast iron skillet. We offer both a right and left-handed spatula. Pair your spatula with our handmade wooden spoon as part of our utensil set.

How to care for your wooden spatula

Lancaster Cast Iron utensils are oiled with food-grade mineral oil to preserve them for a lifetime of use in your kitchen. After each use, we recommend hand washing them with warm soapy water and towel dry before storing them. Periodically maintain with Lancaster Wood Wax to keep the wood from drying out.

Who we are

Each carved wooden spoon tells a small part of that story.
