description
10" medium-sized spurtle made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by skilled craftsmen. Lancaster Cast Iron is bringing handmade tradition back to your kitchen. The spurtle was originally invented in Scotland in the 15th century for stirring porridge. Since that time, it has evolved to become one of the most versatile tools in the kitchen. Not only is it useful for stirring, but also mixing, whisking, and spreading. It is useful for stirring oatmeal, mixing cake batter, flipping eggs, whisking sauces, and spreading icing.

Our spurtles are carved from 100% pure natural Pennsylvania cherry trees. The Lancaster wood spurtle is light but extremely strong, durable, and food safe. It is easy to clean by gently washing with soap and water. To maintain beauty and finish, do not soak in water. Apply butcher block oil or mineral oil periodically to help maintain your spurtle.

Lifetime Warranty - Extremely durable and backed by a lifetime warranty. Tested and designed for a long life of use in the kitchen.
