How we make our ladle
Handmade at our shop in Lancaster, PA, our ladle is made from sustainably harvested North American Black Cherry. Our ladles are individually cut and each one is sanded smooth. It is ready for immediate use in your kitchen.
Using your ladle
The Lancaster ladle comes with a bowl that is sanded smooth and an 8" handle for ease of use. This "Big Dipper" holds up to a half cup of your favorite soup, chili, or gravy. It is the perfect tool for serving up your delicious creations from your Lancaster Dutch Oven or pot.
Caring for your wooden kitchen utensils
The Lancaster ladle comes ready for use in your kitchen. We oil our wooden kitchenware with food-grade mineral oil to preserve them for a lifetime of use in your home. We recommend washing your ladle before the first use and each time after cooking. The wooden ladle should be hand washed with warm soapy water and towel dried. We recommend periodically maintaining your wooden spoon set a food-grade oil or butcher block wax to keep it from drying out.
