How our wooden strainers are made

Our wooden strainers are handmade in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by local woodworkers and artisans. Each wooden strainer is carved and hand sanded to a smooth finish. Utilizing local partnerships and local resources is a priority for us. This allows us to be both friendly to the environment and supportive of local industry. We use hardwoods sourced from the Eastern United States. The wooden strainer is available in Black Cherry.

How to use your Lancaster wooden strainer

Handcrafted from Pennsylvania Cherry wood, our skimmer spoon is an excellent kitchen tool for cooking ravioli or tortellini, boiling eggs, skimming fat or meat from a pot, or serving up fresh vegetables.

Caring for your wooden strainer

Wooden spoons and other wooden cooking utensils should be washed by hand after each use and towel dried before storing. We recommend periodically applying wood wax to your utensils to keep them hydrated. This prevents your utensils from drying out and cracking and will allow them to last a lifetime in your kitchen.

Who we are

We strive to keep our supply chain and partnerships as local as possible. Each handmade pasta strainer tells a small part of that story. Our passion is to design cooking and serving utensils that enrich your life through time spent making delicious food, enjoying home-cooked meals, and building relationships around the dining table. All of our kitchenware products are designed and made in the USA and come with a Lifetime Guarantee.
